Chris Jordan started his Radio career as an On Air Presenter at Tuks FM in 2001, where he also produced a daily talk show called “Flush”. His duties included topic conceptualization, arranging show segments, script writing, and arranging and co-ordinating live guests. He also edited and published the Tuks FM Magazine, and led the marketing for many of the radio stations’ live events, launches and music concerts during this time. Chris later travelled across South Africa with SABC 3’s “Going Nowhere Slowly” in 2004 and in 2005, produced 5 FM’s Zuraida Jardin’s morning show. He was also fortunate enough to MC Christina Aguilera’s SA concert later that year. He then moved onto work as an On Air Presenter on 94.7 Highveld Stereo, hosting the 7pm - 10pm time slot.

He is currently working with one of the world’s first mobile radio stations; Vodacom Yebo Radio, presenting their Drive Time Show, Mondays to Fridays. He also works as Yebo Radio’s Production Manager, which includes supervising content for all on air DJ’s and “V Life”, Vodacom’s internet pod-cast portal.

Aki Anastasiou was born and raised in Johannesburg, attended and completed his schooling at Saheti School. Since the age of 15 Aki has had a passion for radio and from a young age worked part time at 702 until realizing his dream and joined full time as a sound engineer when completing matric in 1986. In his 15 years in radio he has been involved in most aspects of a radio station from technical to news to advertising to presenting to being 702’s “Eye in the Sky”.

Currently Aki is 702 Talk Radio’s Promotion Manager and gets you to work safe and sound every weekday morning with his traffic reports. He also presents the Techno-byte feature on David O’Sullivan’s show.

SPORTS WRITING / SPORTS COMMENTARY / SPORTS REPORTING

Ashraf Garda has developed from an untrained Journalist, making a midlife career change, with a chance stint at The Voice Community Radio station and his break into commercial radio with 5FM, to an award winning broadcaster at the top of his game. He has made his mark in both Radio and TV and has also moved from Sports to Current Affairs and what he calls the ultimate fix - Talk Radio! He is currently the Sports Anchor on national broadcaster, SA FM, as well as the Sports Anchor on the new SABC International News TV Channel. He has also just completed a stint as a talk show host on SA FM’s premium 9am - 12pm slot.

Ashraf is frequently asked to present Current Affairs programme INTERFACE, on SABC, and he was more recently commissioned as a roving reporter for both SABC 2’s Morning Live and SABC Africa at O.R. Tambo International Airport to welcome the victorious 2007 World Cup winning Springbok Team.

He is often used as a guest panelist on SABC TV, Supersport and CNBC Africa, which is a far cry from his first job as a young man- sourcing and selling upmarket fashion fabrics to some of South Africa’s leading designers.

This versatile broadcaster is also a multiple prize winner at the prestigious SAB annual Sports Journalist Awards, and he also finds time to head BOUNDARY BREAKERS, a sports marketing, media content and Media Training Company, for whom he most recently mentored SA cricketer Hashim Anla’s media response to the Dean Jones “Terrorist Remark”.

Actor, voice artist, writer, teacher and entrepreneur. John was educated in the hallowed halls of U.C.T. only to realize that after 4 years of tertiary education all he got were a few important skills, a piece of paper and a headache. Since then he has assisted with a number of small start up companies, as well as being in and out of the performing arts for the last decade. He has worked in production, post-production and as talent. Currently he is involved predominantly as a voice artist for radio and as a copy writer for the internet. His attitude to teaching is when you teach something you get to learn more about it.

Ana Carrilho graduated from Rhodes University in 1996, majoring in Journalism and Drama, specializing in television and radio broadcasting.

She has since stage-managed, directed, produced and acted in various theatre productions and has been successfully training television and radio presenters since 1998.

As one of the Directors of On Cue Communications, she also facilitates Corporate Media Skills Seminars and Master Classes.

ON CAMERA DELIVERY / MAGAZINE PROGRAMMES / INTERVIEW SKILLS

Marius Roberts has been a regular on SOuth African television screens since 1998, but working in the television industry was never in his career plan - his passion for sport and a degree in Sports and Fitness hints at what he thought he would be doing with his life! 10 years later and plenty of television shows under his belt, including interviews with Jerry Springer, Howie Mandel, MArius Weyers, David Kramer and travelling to Canada for the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and to PAris for the launch of Moet Et Chandon’s Champagne of the Millenium…  he admits his plans have changed!

Marius also has two international and one local movie under his belt, runs his own events company and is a popular MC at functions around the country - “my favourite part of the industry.”

Marius has coaching certificates for all the major popular sports, is a qualified NAUI Underwater Diver and plays Rugby for Pirates First Team. This has earned him respect as an all round sports presenter.

He and is currently the anchor presenter on SA’s first motoring channel, Ignition, on DStv.

VOICE /SPEECH / RELAESING YOUR UNIQUE PERSONALITY ON CAMERA

Paul Spence studied acting at the prestigious Guildhall School in London for three years.  He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company for seven years and toured with them throughout the UK, Northern Ireland and Japan.  He has worked very closely with Patsy Rodenburg and Cicely Berry (acclaimed UK Voice Coaches), on voice and text.  His voice-over work on radio and television includes the Old Mutual and Dunlop adverts.  He recently worked on M-Net’s EGOLI as the English script editor, and currently offers Voice and Speech Master Classes at On Cue Communications, focusing on pitch / pronunciation / articulation / delivery, On-CAmera Ease, Relaxation and Personality Release.
